Eudora Cooper was born in Rushville, Schuyler county, Ill., April 13, 1867, and departed this life at Iowa City, Iowa, on June 21, 1950 at the age of 83 years, two months and eight days.

When she was eight years of age, her parents brought her to New Market, Iowa,and she spent the rest of her life in Taylor county.

Eudora Cooper was united in marriage to F. M. Cade in 1889. To this union was born one son, Carl, of New Market. Mr. Cade died in 1891. She was united in marriage to J. H. Salyards in 1899. To this marriage was born one son, Haven, of Glenwood, Iowa. Mrs. J. H. Salyards was a member of the Royal Neighbors and Rebekah Lodges; she was also a member of the Christian church for many years, and although she had been in failing health for several years, she attended whenever it was possible for her to do so.

She is survived by her husband, two sons and two nieces, Mrs. Grace Thomas of Corning, Iowa, and Mrs. Mabel Greenway of Bedford, Iowa who were reared in the home, four grandchildren, Dean Salyards of Snyder, Texas, Warren Cade of Clarinda, Iowa, Marvin Cade of New Market and Mrs.
Homer Horning of Bedford; five great-grandchildren; also Mrs. Vern Trumbo of Rock Island, Ill., Eugene Greenway of Bedford and Edward Thomas of Corning, children of the two nieces she raised, and one brother, John R. Cooper of New
Market, other relatives and many friends, who mourn her passing.
