Frederick Jack Carriger died July 7, 2008 in Buttte, Montana.

Jack was born in Butte Dec. 5, 1932, to Frederick J. and Helen (Sennett) Carriger. He attended local schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1950, where he played in the band under the direction of Henry Schiesser.

Jack graduated from Western Montana College in Dillon and also attended Montana State University for a year. He taught school for a year at Greeley School and served as a dental technician in the Navy for 22 years, serving in Vietnam. Jack was an accomplished pianist and artist, enjoyed gourmet cooking and always was willing to share his recipes. He loved to read and loved dogs especially his dog, Fannie.

Cremation was in Butte. Interment in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
