Here is the will of John Bogart - the father of Mary Ann Bogart Fenstermacher. It is dated 6 Sep 1873. He leaves to his three grandchildren- Nathan, John and Charles - his daughter Mary Ann is not listed as she has already passed. So she was the mother of Mary C, Nathan, John and Charles, which means she died between 1860and 1861. Daniel must have married Margaret About 1861 and she is the mother of all the children between Moses and James. Eliza Cromley is the mother of Michael.

ohn Bogert Will September 6th, 1873 – I John Bogard of Liberty Township in the County of Montour and state of Pennsylvania being in health of body and of sound mind, memory, and understanding do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made, and first I direct that my body be decently interred in the grounds of the Lutheran Church at Washingtonville and that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid by my Executors herein after named. First, I give and bequeath to my wife Catharine Bogard all my house hold and kitchen furniture, also one cow, two pigs, and five hundred dollars in money to be paid to her at my decease. Also I give and bequeath and decree to my said wife Catharine the house and lot of ground on which we now reside containing thirteen acres and also my timber lot containing three acres adjoining lands of James Madden, Peter Krumly (Cromly) being part of my farm so long she shall continue my widow and no longer. Second, I give and bequeath to my son Jesse Bogard five dollars and no more to be paid to him by my Executors hereinafter named which is all I intend to give him out of my estate. Third, I order and direct my Executors hereinafter named or the survivors of them to sell my farm containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less either whole or in parts as they may deem best for the interest of my estate within one year after y decease by public sale after having given at least three weeks notice of the time and place of sale and to make and deliver good and sufficient deed or deeds to purchaser or purchasers therefor, and the purchase money of my farm together with two hundred and sixty dollars which I have advanced to my son Aaron Bogart, eight hundred and twenty eight dollars and fifty cents which I have advanced to my son John Bogard, and two hundred and twenty three dollars and twelve cents which I have advanced to my daughter Hetty for which I hold a note, and also two notes against my son John Bogard is being one and the same amount of money mentioned aforesaid shall constitute a fund which I order and direct my Executors hereinafter named or the survivors of them to divide into seven equal parts, one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my son Aaron Bogard, one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my son John Bogard, one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my son Henry Bogard, one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my three grandchildren Nathan Fenstermacher, John Fenstermacher, and Charles Fenstermacher, one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my daughter Hetty wife of William McCracken, one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah wife of Benjamin Starner, and one seventh part thereof I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza wife of Joseph Gresh, and at the marriage of my said wife Catharine or at her death which ever event shall occur first. I give and bequeath and _____ to my daughter Flora Jane Bogart and my son William Bogart as tenants in _____ their heirs and assigns forever the house and lot of land containing thirteen acres more or less and the woodlot containing three acres more or less together with two hundred dollars each, my son William Bogart and my daughter Flora Jane Bogart on arriving at the age of twenty one years, the aforesaid lot shall be subject to the rights of my wife Catharine until her marriage or death. Fifth. I give and bequeath to my daughter Hannah Amanda Bogard the sum of three hundred dollars to be paid to her on arriving at the age of twenty one with interest to be computed from one year after my death. All the rest and residue of my estate and effects I order my Executors hereinafter named or the survivors of them to divide unto nine equal parts, one ninth thereof I give to my son Aaron, one ninth thereof to my son John, one ninth I give to my son Henry, one ninth thereof I give to my three grandchildren herein before mentioned by John and Charles and Nathan Fenstermacher, one ninth thereof I give to my daughter Hetty, One ninth thereof I give to my daughter Sarah, one ninth I give to my daughter Eliza, one ninth thereof I give to my daughter Flora Jane, and one ninth thereof to my son William. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John Bogart and my son in law Joseph Gresh the Executors of this my Last Will and Testament to settle my real and personal estate. In witness I John Bogard the Testator have to this my Will witness on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this the fourteenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

Madden, and George Gresh the subscribing witnesses to the above Will who being duly sworn according to law do say that they were present and saw and heard John Bogert the Testator sign seal publish pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his Last Will and Testament and that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.

Be it remembered that on the sixth day of September A.D. 1873 before me William C. Johnston Register for the probate of Wills in and for the county of Montour was proved and approved the Last Will and Testament of John Bogert late of Liberty Township in said County deceased and Letters of Testamentary in due and common form of law were by me granted to John Bogert and Joseph Gresh Executors in the said Will named, the said Executors being duly sworn to administer said estate according to law and to comply with all laws relating to collateral inheritance. Witness my hand the day and year aforesaid.
