George Stanley Myers, son of Henry Austin Myers II (1827-1919) and Levina Marie Schector (1830-1919), was born October 14, 1873 in Randolph Township, McLean County Il.

He married Sarah Jane "Jennie" Hahn, daughter of Lewis Martin Hahn and Sarah Ann Thomas, March 16, 1898 at Grand Mound, Clinton County, IA. They returned to Illinois and are enumerated in the 1900 Census with George's parents at Eureka City, Woodford, IL, and their only known child, Clella Arline Myers, born December 1898 near Rockford, IL. Per the 1915 Iowa Census Records, the family moved back to Iowa about 1907 and are enumerated at Des Moines, Polk County, IA from 1910 through 1930. Sarah Jane Myers died in 1947 and is buried at the Elmwood Cemetery at DeWitt, Clinton County IA with her parents and siblings in the Hahn Burial Plot.

He married Frona C Duggins (probably this is a married name, maiden name is unknown at this time) in Cook County IL on June 3, 1952. Per his obituary we know that he was a retired street car operator from Fox Lake, Grant Township, Lake County, Illinois, moving to Harrison, Boone County, Arkansas between 1957-1958. Per his obituary his wife, Frona survived him at his death. We have confirmed that she is not buried with him at Maplegrove Cemetery in Harrison and are still seeking information regarding her death and burial.

George and Sarah's daughter, Clella Arline Myers, married Jay Henry Hamiel June 26, 1922 in Des Moines, IA . They resided in Adel, Dallas County, IA until Jay's death. Clella then moved to Fort Collins Colorado in 1981, living with her daughter, June Clella Hamiel (Harold Alfred) Paulsen, until she died in 1996. The three great-grandchildren noted in the obituary below are: Karen Paulsen Brand, Craig Paulsen, and Jay Paulsen.
