Marvin Leonard Talley, 93, of Laurel died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Chapel of Laurel with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. until service time. Rev. Tim Hubbard will officiate.
Mr. Talley was a native of Neshoba County. He was a charter member of Highland Baptist Church. He was a Mason, Master of Laurel Lodge 414-F & F-AM. He was formerly employed with Lewis Machine and Welding Company and CBR Machine Shop and had worked at Frank Gardner Hardware.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Caleb and Susan Pearl Breazeale Talley; his first wife, Emma Lou Cooley Talley; his brothers, Labin Olen Talley and Linzie Purvis Talley; his sister, Effie Idora Talley Agent; his stepsons, Robert Ralph Wadsworth and Ronald Carlton Wadsworth; his grandson, Ralph Madison "Matt" Wadsworth and granddaughter Terri Anderson Bacon.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Juanita Walters Talley; son Jerry Don Talley; his daughter, Judy Gale Talley and stepdaughter Brenda Wadsworth Anderson; his sister, Chessie Myrtle Talley Johnson; grandchildren Katherine (Kathy) Elizabeth Talley, Christopher Michael Talley, James Scott Anderson, Michael Shane Anderson, Chira Ann Wadsworth Slone, Stacey Michelle Anderson Berryhill and Amy Elizabeth Wadsworth Kittrell; 14 great-grandchildren, Brittany Ladner, Kristen Dubisson, P. Keith Herndon, Nicholas L. Berryhill, Anna Chira Clark, Stormy Brook Wadsworth, Hanna L. Bacon, Brittney E. Anderson, Lauren Kittrell, Jennifer Kittrell, James Erie Anderson, Mary Kittrell, Shelby Joy Anderson and Faith Janae Anderson; and four great-great-grandhildren.
Pallbearers will be Shane Anderson, Keith Anderson, Nicholas Berryhill, Johnny Berryhill , Jeff Thomas and Rick Dubisson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cleo Kerns, Wendel Gavin, Howard Moon, Ralph Clark and Jack Thornton.
