Floyd William Carringer, 60. of Route 2 Murphy, died Saturday in a Cumming, Ga., hospital. A native of Cherokee County, he was a son of the late DlUard and Norma Martin Carringer. He was a retired farmer and a member of New Martin's Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are the wife, Ann Martin Carringer; two sons, Allen Ray Carringer of Shallotte and Michael Carringer of Pinnacle; two daugth-ers, Margaret West of Marble and Norma Jane Day of Cumming; and six grandchildren.

Services wil be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy. The Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Burial will be in New Martin's Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 lo 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
