A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland for Uhle Earl Hohensee, 65, a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Raceland, who died at 6 a.m. Thursday, March 11.1993
Visitation will be 3 to 11 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until Funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
He was the husband of Irma Peters Hohensee; father of Andrew, Uhle Taft, Myron, Barry and Thomas Hohensee, Rosalie Steward and Alicia "Lisa" Songe; brother of Dorothy Babin and Helen McGee.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma Lou Gauthier Hohensee; a son, Martin Hohensee; three brothers, Herman, Warren and Bernard Hohensee; and a sister, Marjarie Hohensee.
He served with the U.S. Navy in World War II and Korea. He was principal of Pointe aux Chenes School, a former Lafourche Parish school teacher and a retired Probation and Parole agent for the State of Louisiana.
