Mrs. Jones was born July 14, 1908, in Logan County, Okla., to Henry and Mathilda Freda (Bruchardt) Bruhn. While still a child, Mrs. Jones moved, along with her family, to Iowa, and then to Kansas. She settled in the Altamont area. Mrs. Jones attended area schools, and two years at Coffeyville Community College.
She married Charles E. Jones in 1932, at Oswego. Mr. Jones operated an appliance store and also worked as a shoe cobbler. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker. Mr. Jones preceded his wife in death in 1971. Mrs. Jones moved to Coffeyville in 1975.
Survivors include a son, Billy Jones of Dearing; five sisters, Dorothy Sorenson of Lakeland, Fla., Mathilda Bruhn, Irma Heldenbrand, and Elizabeth Bruhn, and Violet Barker, all of Coffeyville.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Saturday, at Fairview Cemetery. Friends should gather at the gravesite prior to service time.
Friends may call from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday, and from 8 until 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel.
