John Jackson Maxey was born on 7 May,1815 son of Edward Maxey and Judith White Maxey. He had two wives and 14 children. The first wife was Mary Beller they had four children . They were married in August of 1835.
Their first child died at a young age. In 1843 Mary died and in 1844 John remarried to Elizabeth Hudnall. They had 10 children. Elizabeth died in 1891 and John died in 1904.
