She married Donald Wilde on July 2, 1936. Irene served as Postmaster in Elizabeth for 27 years.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, LWML, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elizabeth Fire Department, and the Elizabeth Senior Citizens.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Donald; her parents, three sisters, Corrine Zent, Lois Creel and Bonnie Pederson; and a son-in-law, George Wedll.
Visitation: Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Elizabeth
