HELEN LAVELLE GOSSETT
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 20, 1994, at the Fuiten-Rose Chapel, Forest Grove. Interment in the Forest View Cemetery and a reception in Forest Grove Assembly of God Church will follow.
Mrs. Gossett was born Helen Scott July 16, 1908, in Scoggins Valley. She died of an apparent heart attack Aug. 16, 1994, while visiting Newport. She was 86.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended the University of Oregon Nursing School. Mrs. Gossett worked as a nurse's aide at the Marysville Nursing Home, Beaverton.
She married William Clifton ''Cliff'' Gossett in 1933. The couple had lived in Cherry Grove and then Forest Grove before Mr. Gossett died in 1983.
Surviving are her son, Larry Scott of Vacaville, Calif.; sister, Olive Dethlefs of Forest Grove; and two grandsons.
