Maybelle Davis is Stephen's second wife. His first wife was Grace Ellen Dean, they married 17 Oct 1907 and the had a son named Oscar. They are on the 1910 Census and his parents are living with them In 1920 Oscar is living with Eliza & Calvin & 1930 Oscar is living with Gracie's parents. I do not know when he divorced Gracie but she did end up either an insane asylum or jail.

He married Maybelle Davis 14 May 1915 at age 31.
1920 Census Stephen is married to Maybelle
1930 Census Stephen is widowed with sons Glen 14 & Virbert
I have not found him on the 1940 Census
