DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Ann Marie Billy, age 89, went to see Our Lord on Thursday, March 18, 2010.

Born to Josephine (Defonse) and Louis Bernardo on Sept. 28, 1920, she lived in Ashtabula most of her life before moving to Florida in 1991. She married Angelo Billy on June 8, 1940.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. Her humor and loving ways will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Phil Eden, with whom she made her home in Deerfield Beach, Fla.; granddaughter, Michelle Lynn (Wil) Dershimer of Winter Springs, Fla.; and several step-great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Stefanelli of Ashtabula; sisters-in-law, Florence Bernardo and Edith Bernardo, both of Ashtabula; nieces, Renee (Anthony) Scardino, Marie Dechurch, Roberta (Don) Chamberlain, Kay (Richard) Hall, Sandy (Doug) Hanna, Terri Warren, Patty (Audra) Henson, Dee Nelson and Jaye (Carlos) Capp; nephews, Louis (Lynn) Noce, Bob (Mary Ellen) Bernardo, Fred (Sue) Bernardo and Pat (Thomasina) Mauro; great-nephews, Paul (Hattie) Scardino, Jeff Scardino, Shawn and Eric Noce; many other great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-niece, Millie Scardino.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Ange; sisters, (twin) Delores (Frank) White, Grace (Francis) Noce, Alvira (James) Dechurch, Elizabeth (Pasquale) Mauro and Lena (Nicholas) Narducci; brothers, Henry (Ellen) Bernardo, Angelo Bernardo, Peter Bernardo and Ralph Bernardo; brother-in-law, Anthony Stefanelli; nieces, Josephine Paulchel and Joanne Rose; and nephews, Francis White, Joseph Dechurch, Buddy Nelson, Don Mauro and Byron Nelson.

No Memorial Services will be held here. At her wishes, she will be cremated and buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, Ashtabula, at a later date.
