MORGAN--Donna Crittenden Carter, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister returned home to our Father in Heaven on Saturday, Jan. 23, 1999 at the age of 65, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1933 in Coalville, Utah, the daughter of Leo and Metta Robinson Crittenden, where she was raised and educated. She attended Utah State University. She married Leon Rex Carter on July 18, 1952 in the Logan Temple. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, Relief Society, MIA and was the organist for 35 years for the Porterville Ward.

Mom enjoyed playing her organ, quilting, sewing, traveling and most important being around her family, friends and grandchildren. She retired from the IRS after several years of service.

Surviving are her husband, Leon, of 46 years, three sons and three daughters, Dennis Carter, California; Dan E. (Teresa) Carter, Roy; Danene McNamara, Montana; Donetta Reed, DeVan (Shar) Carter, Delana (Joe) Nelson, all of Morgan, 12 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one brother Sheldon (Judy) Crittenden, Coalville, one sister, Thelma (Calvin) Miller, Sandy, and one foster brother, Lloyd Dale Jr., Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Donna returned to her mother and fathers arms on a special day, it was her fathers birthday.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999 at 12 noon in the Morgan 5th Ward Chapel in Porterville. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Morgan Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday at the Church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
