Virgil Lee chapman, 81, died Thursday morning at his residence, 991 Mauldin Street, S.E. after a long illness. Survivors include sons, Frank Chapman, Atlanta and Otis Chapman, Knoxville,Tenn.; daughters, Mrs. Clifford Fincher, College Park; Mrs. Willie Bates, Benton, Tenn.; Mrs. A.V. Helbert, Mrs.J.P. Davis both of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mrs. J.B. Stewart, Akron, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
