-- LAVALE,MARYLAND — Rosemary Catherine (Everstine) Peterson, 79, of LaVale, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Golden Living Community.
Born June 20, 1930, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Roy F. Everstine and Rosalie M. (Grabenstein) Everstine. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard H. "Dutch" Peterson; and one sister, Anna Bessie Milleson.
Mrs. Peterson was a 1946 graduate of Ursuline Academy. She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Michael R. Peterson and wife Elayne, of Waterford, Conn., and Kevin H. Peterson and wife Lisa, of Cumberland; two daughters, Patricia A. Calhoon and husband Charles, of Newark, Del., and Jennifer L. Tasker and husband George, of Fountain, W.Va.; and twelve grandchildren, Stephine, Kimberly, Zachary, Sarah, Rachel, Daniel, Brian, Carly, Michael, Jack, Aaron, and Kathryn.
At her request, her body will be cremated.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland. (www.scarpellifuneralhomes.com)
A memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Inurnment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
