Herbert Cosper, 85, passed away Friday, July 2, 2010. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rosser Funeral Home. Interment: Greenacres Memorial Park. Dr. Danny Crosby will officiate. Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Wayne Boling, Chase Falwell, Eric Falwell, Chad Munden, Bobby Sewell and Tommy Yancey. He was born July 10, 1924, in Salado to Herbert Cosper and Althea Warrick Cosper. Mr. Cosper married Anna Provyck on June 4, 1949. He served his county in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Navy after serving 26 years. After retiring from the navy, he worked for the United States Postal Service until he retired in 1986. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother-in-law, Milton Yancey. Survivors: Sons, Steven Cosper of Fort Worth, Glenn Cosper and wife, Tammy, of Cleburne; daughter-in-law, Sharon Cosper of Fort Worth; sisters, Juanita Yancey of Grandview, Della Cromeans and husband, Phillip, of Hurst and Nelda Phillips of Swinkville, Pa.; grandchildren, Brandi, Christi, Cody, Chase and Cori Cosper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
