Floyd Edwin Leroy Hilderman of rural Livonia, Missouri passed away Wednesday (October 7, 2009) at his home. The son of Pearl E. and Lilly (Tat) (Morrow) Hilderman, he was born April 22, 1940 at Graysville, MO. On January 18, 1962, by Reverend C.E. Davis in Kirksville, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ray who survives.

Also surviving is one son, Jerry Hilderman of Florence, CO; one daughter, Robin Partin of Kirksville; five grandchildren, Jerry Hilderman, Ryan Hilderman, Tyler Hilderman, Brian Hilderman and wife Amanda, and April Holcomb; four great grandchildren, Gauge and McKinzie Hilderman and Keiley and Kaiden Holcomb and one brother, James Hilderman and wife Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Tracy Hilderman, and a sister, Jewel Anthony and her husband Lawrence.

Floyd attended grade school at Hartford and high school at Livonia. After school he worked in the coal mines at Graysville, MO for a time. He then went west to work in the fields harvesting asparagus, hops, apples, etc. After his marriage he worked for Dr. Stickler on his farm and then for Producers Creamery for a time before they moved to Rockton, IL where he worked for City South Beloit, IL and then Broaster's Co. of Wisconsin. Floyd, Joyce, and their family moved back to Missouri in 1979 for health reasons. Floyd has been in failing health since that time and has been on dialysis since 2006. Floyd loved BBQ's and camping with his family. He enjoyed fishing in Rock River, traveling, hunting in Missouri, horseshoes, and looking for mushrooms.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday (October 10, 2009) at the Rose Cemetery west of Worthington with Virgil Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Hilderman, Jerry Hilderman, Ryan Hilderman, Tyler Hilderman, John Hilderman and Doug Dierking. Honorary bearers will be Larry Anthony and Justin Anthony.
