J. Stoler Benedict, 84, of Waynesboro, Route 1, died this morning at 2:30 o'clock at the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health for several years and was admitted to the hospital on December 24.
He was born near Elbrook the son of the late Daniel W. and Matilda (Stoler) Benedict.
Mr. Benedict was a carpenter during his early life and later went to farming.
He was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are sister, Miss Iva Benedict, at home; brother, Walter Benedict, Indianapolis, Indiana; also two nieces and three nephews.
