Miss Iva M. Benedict, 91, died this morning at 3:15 at the home of her niece, Miss Maude Benedict, 19 East North Street. She had been in failing health for a number of years and was critically ill for the past week.
She was born in Quincy Township the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Matilda (Stoler) Benedict. She has been a resident of Waynesboro for the past four years.
Miss Benedict was a member of Price's Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are two nieces, Miss Maude Benedict, Miss Anna Bushman, Waynesboro and a nephew, Harper Benedict, Middletown, Md.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Poe Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Donald Miller, assisted by the Rev. Samuel Lindsay. Interment will be made in Price's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 until 9 p.m.
It was Miss Benedict's request that flower be omitted.
