Ruth C. (Mock) Ayers
Former Huntingdon woman dies in Valley View Haven
Ruth C. (Mock) Ayers, 85, formerly of 1019 Washington St., Huntingdon, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, July 3, 1994, in Valley View Haven, Belleville, where she had resided since July 1993. Born April 1, 1909, in Allensville, she was a daughter of the late James W. and Lucy M. (Mauchamer) Culbertson. She was twice married: first to John A. Mock, who died in 1950; then to Charles B. Ayers on May 21, 1962, in Cumberland, Md. Mr Ayers died June 11, 1986. Surviving are two step-children: Darwyn Ayers of Huntingdon R.D. 2 and Mrs. Frank (Ruth) Elliott, Port Richey, Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, James H. Culbertson of Landisburg. One brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Ayers was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Huntingdon. During her life, Mrs. Ayers had been employed at Owens-Corning Fiberglas Inc. and the John R. Wald Co., both in Huntingdon. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Robert E. Peters Funeral Home, Huntingdon, with the Rev. John F.C. Dornheim officiating. Interment will be in Mooresville Cemetery, Mooresville (Petersburg R.D. 1). Friends may call at the funeral home today (Tuesday) after 7 p.m. and Wednesday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service
