Robert and Nora married Dec 25, 1895. They had the following children; Ethel Celina, Mabel Geraldine and Alice Marie.

Robert H. Abbott was born October 15, 1874, in the town of Campbell. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elliott Diven but when a small boy was adopted by Charles and Elvira Abbott, by who he was loved as on of their own.

Robert died as a results from injuries when his auto was struck by Erie passenger train No. 471 at the Wolf Run crossing between Savona dnd Campbell Saurday evening, Robert Abbott, 54, of Wolf Run father of Mrs. Charles Alderman of Painted Post, and Miss Mabel Abbott, an instructor at the Northside Primary School, died while en route to the Bath Hospital.

The crossing, which lies between two little hillocks, is difficult to see as it is approached, and Mr. Abbott apparently neither saw nor heard the speeding train. No eye witnesses of the accident habe been found, although Frank Warner, of Wolf Run who was working near by, was on the scene shortly after the crash.

Coroner S. Reno Selleck, of Bath, stated this morning that the locomotive struck the front wheels of the auto, which was completely demolished, and threw it to one side. He has requested a statemet from the Erie railroad oficials, and whether or not an inquest will be ordered will depend on the nature of this report.
