Please note that the listing of a child named Alice Sarah Tilley as a child of Jesse Moore Tilley is NOT correct. The error is partially a result of wrong interpretation of the 1870 Census which mistakenly lists a step daughter Alice Durbin as Alice Tilley. However, she was child of Jesse Moore Tilley's wife Elizabeth Gordey by her first husband Wilford Durbin. The handwritten family history notes written by Jesse Moore Tilley which I have make that clear and tell that this step-daughter Alice died in a fire in 1873. Alice Sarah Tilley who died on Jan 10, 1937 was the second wife of Benjamin Wesley Tilley, youngest brother of Jesse Moore Tilley.
I have contacted the person who created the memorial for Alice Sarah Tilley and who attached her to Jesse Moore Tilley to ask him to remove the wrong information. I will leave this note here until that is done.
