CROSBYTON (Special) - Graveside services for Edd Evans, 82, of Crosbyton will be at 5 p.m. today in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be directed by Adams Funeral Home.
Evans died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in Lubbock´s St.Mary of the Plains Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Eastland County and married Juanita "Pete" Diggs on Dec. 15, 1935, in Floydada. He was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and a retired school custodian. He moved to Crosbyton from Ralls in 1967.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters JoAnn Stegall of Crosbyton and Kay Smith of Mansfield; a brother, Elmer of Ralls; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
