Mrs. Lucy Burrington, 86, 2424 Annie Baxter Ave., died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Medical Center where she was a patient five days.

Mrs.  Burrington was born Oct. 21, 1893, in the state of Iowa (incorrect? Missouri). She moved to Joplin in 1924 from Harrison, Ark. She had previously been a resident of Seneca. She was a member of the Blendville Christian Church, and was a former member of the A-TA auxiliary and the VFW auxiliary.

She married Earl Burrington on Nov. 28, 1912, at Seneca. He died in July, 1960. She is survived by two sons, John Burrington, Joplin Route 7, and Earl Burrington Jr., 2615 Connor Ave.; a daughter, Mrs. Earline Bernhard, Montebella (should be Montebello), Calif.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be announced by Parker Mortuary.

Services for Mrs. Lucy Burrington, 86, 2424 Annie Baxter Ave., who died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Medical Center here where she was a patient five days, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Blendville Christian Church.

Bob Teegarden, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Seneca Cemetery.
Randy Wilson, Dee Hinton, Darold Cannon, Roy Blizzard, Clyde Butts and George Smith will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Parker Chapel.

Her Father is Edward William Butterfield and her Mother is Sophrona Belle Cantwell.
