Funeral services for Henry Jacob Ewy, 42, a resident of Galveston since 1914, who died Thursday evening January 3, 1929, at St. Mary's Infirmary were held from the F. P. Malloy & Son funeral chapel this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. M. S. Chatalgnon officiating. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Ewy was born May 12, 1885, in St. James, Watonwan Co., Minnesota, the son of Jacob Heinrich and Elizabeth (Muller) Ewy. He is survived by his wife Francis, son Edward, daughter Josephine and a step-daughter Edith.
Henry raised the daughter of Frances and her first husband. Her name was Edith, born 18 Jul 1917, at Galveston, Galveston Co., Texas, Edith's first husband was William Saenz and her second husband was Paul Cloutier. Edith is deceased.
