A celebration of life service for Jewell Brown, 94, of Lubbock will be held at Westmont Christian Church on Monday, June 18, 2007, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Clint Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007. She was born June 13, 1913, in Honeygrove, to Isaac Marshall and Mary Louella Bales. She graduated from Idalou High School. She married Frank Brown Aug. 26, 1944.

He preceded her in death in 1990. They moved to Seminole in 1968.

She returned back to Lubbock three years ago. She worked in the dry cleaning business and was a great seamstress.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Methodist Church in Seminole, where she had many loving friends. After moving to Lubbock, she attended Westmont Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons, James A. Brown and wife Toshiko of Mt.

Aukum, Calif. and Robert Brown and wife Nancy of Plano; a daughter, Karen Armstrong and husband Jerry of Lubbock; two brothers, Floyd Bales of Midland and William Bales of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Mike Brown, Suzy Brown, Kim Webster, Tiffany Hitt, Branden Armstrong, Robert Anthony Brown, and Jennifer Brown; and ten great-grandchildren.
