Graveside Rites Held Here For Dr. Robert Botts
Funeral services for Dr. Robert C. Botts of Ft. Worth, who died in a Ft.Worth hospital at 2 a.m., Jan.27, were held today at 9:30 a.m. in Ft. Worth with graveside services at 4:30 p.m. in Gonzales with the Rev. Herman Murph officiating. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery. Seydler-Hill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Dr. Botts was born March 28, 1910 in Gonzales, the son of Robert L. and Inez Thornton Botts. He was a member of the First United Methodist church in Frt. Worth and retired captain from the Medical Corps of the United States Army. He was a retired oral surgeon, having practices dentistry for 26 years in Ft. Worth. He also practiced in Houston and San Antonio. Dr. Botts was a member of Tarrant County Dental Society, American College of Dentist, American Society of Oral Surgeons and a member of Southwest Society of Oral Surgeons of which he was past president.
