I well Remember My Father, And My Dear Mother, Who in the Wilderness of Ohio, Toiled Suffered and Died.
To let in the Sun Light of Civilization.
Therefore I Hold Them in Greatful Remembrance.

(Below is a portion of a letter written to Randall's grandson, Randall Bonapart Arnold and his wife, May (Peck) Arnold. Randall B. and May are my husband's grandparents.)

"This Book contains incidents which refers to the History of My Ancestors including My Father and Mother's family -- Together with other very Interesting Sketches, which I respectfully present to my Grand Son Randall (Bonapart) Arnold and his Estemable Wife May.
