On Dec.2 her mother took her to the doctor because she didn't feel good and had vomited a few times.The doctor told her mom she had "Alabama Flu".They gave her a shot and sent her home.She slept most of the day and her mom called the doctor back that evening and he put her in the hospital and the next day she went into a coma and died.The disease is called "Reyes Syndrome".∼"Peaches" was the daughter of Natalene and Dale Cook, sister to Roy and Debi. She was involved in many things. She was a page for the Alabama state senate, Mobile county's "OUR LITTLE MISS" talent winner, and competed every year in the "CINDERELLA PAGEANT". She loved her friends !! She was a cheerleader for her middle school, cheered on friday night,was perfectly fine, and was dead a week later.She died Monday at 5:05 pm Dec.7th, on a cold, dark, rainy evening at the University of South Alabama Hospital. I will never forget that day, it was like some horrible nightmare....Our family was devestated. She was the "baby", being eleven years younger than her brother.
