Ruth A. Berry (Goodrich) Coffey
COFFEY, RUTH A. (GOODRICH) BERRY, 87, of South Louisville, passed away Saturday August 12, 2006, at Hillcreek Manor. She was a native of Lebanon Junction, and had formerly worked for Indiana Powder Plant, Continental Air Filter, Dollar General Stores, Brown & Williamson Corp., Reynolds Metals, Melton Food Markets and Vultee Aircraft Co. She was a member of Yorktown Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Fred and Pearl Baumgardner Goodrich; her step mother, Hettie Goodrich; her sister, Rachael Coffey; and her half brother, John F. Goodrich Jr. She was also preceded by her spouses, Marshall Berry and Robert Coffey. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Pickerell; and her sons, Larry and Jerry Berry. Survivors also include her sisters, Maxine Bailey, Margaret Moore and Virginia McCrady; her brother, William Goodrich; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at noon, Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at O. D. White and Sons Funeral Home, 2727 South Third St., with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
