Mrs. Nellie J. Carmack, wife of Harry E. Carmack, 306-A North Market Street, died at her home Monday at 3:40 am, after an illness of a number of weeks. She was aged 65 years. Mrs. Carmack was a daughter of the late Charles E. and Levania Poole Mercer. For many years she was a member of the Walkersville Methodist church. Surviving her are her husband, one son, Paul M. Carmack, this city; six daughters, Mrs. Leslie Wachter, Walkersville; Mrs. William Rice, Mrs. Walter Summers, this city; Mrs. Maurice Crum, Walkersville; Mrs. Paul Reddick, Bremerton, Wash; Mrs. LeRoy Myers, Frederick; these brothers and sisters: Charles H. Mercer, Frederick; John Mercer, Mt. Airy; Mrs. George Mercer, Dayton, OH; Mrs. Claude White, Mt. Airy; Mrs. Fannie Burdette, Libertytown; Mrs. Edward Staley, Walkersville; Mrs. Jesse Hooper, Taylorsville; Mrs. Emma Webber, Elkridge.

The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church Street, M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral directors.
