Sheila was raised and educated in Sedalia, a 1975 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. She attended State Fair Community College and later graduated from The Dallas School of Fashion Design. In 1998 she received a degree from Central Missouri State Univ. While living in Dallas, TX, she worked for Lincoln Properties. In 1997 she moved back to Sedalia, MO, to work as a Creative Memories Consultant and be near her family. She was also a licensed pre-need counselor and Funeral Director, and worked at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where she helped many families at their time of need with compassion and professionalism. She was instrumental in creating the company's website. The last few years she worked as a substitute teacher for the Sedalia School District.
Sheila was a member of First Christian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and The Sedalia Welcome Club. She was a Girl Scout for twelve years and she enjoyed camping the most. She was passionate about scrap booking and preserving memories. She was an avid Dallas Rangers fan and loved supporting her nieces and nephews at their ball games. Her latest hobbies were knitting and quilting.
Surviving are her parents of Sedalia; one paternal grandmother, Julia Weikal of Sedalia; three brothers, David L Weikal and his wife Debbie of Kansas City, MO, Terry E Weikal and his wife Mary of Troy, MO, and Douglas F Weikal and his wife Janice of Lee's Summit, MO; one sister, Louetta M Ditzfeld and her husband Greg of Sedalia, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
