Graveside Service for Irene Colston McKissack, 77, of Temple, Texas is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 2:00 PM at the Lovington Cemetery with Reverend Mack McCarthick officiating. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Baptist Church, 6161 S. 5th Street, Temple, Texas. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
She passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 9:00 am. She was born in Marietta, Oklahoma on August 18, 1932 to Otto & Eunice Frazier. She married Kenneth Colston in 1950 who preceded her in death in 1999. She married Ray McKissack November 8, 2006 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church of Temple, Texas. She spent many years as a wife, mother and educator in Lovington, New Mexico.
She is survived by her friend and husband, Ray McKissack of Temple, Texas, her children Ken & Kendy Colston of Midland, Texas, Paul Colston of Winslow, Arkansas, her grandchildren Bobbi, Jason, Jordan and Jacy. Additionally she will be missed by her brothers and sisters Ervin and Lynn Frazier, Glenn and Cora Drennan, Erskin Frazier and Thelma Frazier.
Preceded in death by her loving first husband and life companion, Kenneth Colston and her beloved son, Terry Colston, siblings Wayne, Clint, Otto, Clyde and Beatrice.
