L. EUGENE AUGUST
L. Eugene August, 34, Atchison, died Sunday, Nov. 29 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, after a long illness. Death was reported due to a blood clot.
He was born in January 1930 at Farley, Ia., and moved to Atchison with his parents in 1938.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Marta and Malinda, and a son, Mark, all of the home; his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd August, Atchison; three brothers, Bill and David August, Atchison and Jim August, Eglin air Force Base, Fla.; and a sister, Judy August, Atchison.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at Stanton chapel in Atchison with the Rev. E. R. Talbot, assisted by the Rev. T. Lowell Cormack, Prairie Village officiating;
Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery, Atchison.
