Anna Elizabeth Smith was born October 11, 1860. She was the daughter of John Smith and Catherine Kiehl. Anna married Henry Wertz on July 19, 1885. Together they had five children. Anna passed away on February 7, 1917.

"Anna Elizabeth Smith was born Oct. 11, 1860. Married Henry S. Wertz July 19, 1885. He was born April 7, 1861. Both were of Stark Co., O., and were married at Louisville, O. Occupation – bookkeeper. Members of the Methodist Episcopal church. Reside at 1913 S. Main St. Findlay, O."

Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Wertz, wife of Henry S. Wertz, died at her home, 216 East Keasey street, Wednesday evening of apoplexy. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, A.D. Wertz, Florence O.; Thorald G. and Dwight L. Wertz, Findlay, O.; and the following brothers and sisters, M.K. and L.K. Smith and Mrs. Charles Keller, Youngstown, O.; David K. Smith, Omaha, Neb., and Olive K. Smith, Canton, O.
She was born at New Berlin, O. and came to this city from Meadville, Pa., four months ago. She was 55 years old.
The funeral will be held from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. James L. Gardiner, D.D. officiating. Burial will be in the city cemetery.
