Peritonitis, superinduced by ruptured appendix, cause the death of Adeline Heft Wednesday, June 13, at Cottage Hospital, Hood River. Adeline was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Heft. She had not yet reached her eleventh birthday anniversary, yet there few years are sufficient to fill all the years given her family and friends with sweet memories. Friends filled the Anderson chapel to overflowing Friday afternoon for the funeral services. Rev. Gleiser very appropriately gave expression to thoughts that conveyed comfort and consolation. Mrs. A. H. Ferguson, Miss Ruth Young, Clyde Smith and Gail Young, accompanied by Mrs. W. F. Young, sang two beautiful selections. There were flowers in profusion. Boys from neighboring families carried the casket carefully to its final resting place and all was beautiful, though touched with sorrow almost too heavy to be endured. Words so feebly convey our great sympathy but we would as best we may express hope and consolation and share with the mother, father, sister and brother in this time of trial.
