LOVELL, Wyo. — Kaytie Bush Hansen, 91, passed away on June 7, 2010, at New Horizons Care Center in Lovell.

Kaytie was born to Fred and Eva (Ruf) Bush, the fourth of eight children. She was raised east of Lovell attending schools in Sunlight and Lovell.

On July 20, 1936, she married Jay G. Hansen in Billings, Mont. Their marriage of 73 years lasted until October of 2009 when Jay passed away.

As a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Lovell, she participated in LWML for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker and willing cook, contributing cooked dishes when needed. Bowling with friends was a hobby she enjoyed for years, achieving membership in the 200 Club.

She spent happy hours in her flower gardens of roses, peonies, iris and others making their yard beautiful. Her crocheting skills produced many afghans and other items. She loved quilting and cross stitch, making heirloom quilts for family members and friends.

In recent years she and Jay spent time at the Lovell Library where they were treated royally.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister and son-in-law, Major Miller.

She is survived by children, Stanley J. (Sheila), Lovell; Ila R. Miller, Aladdin, Wyo., and Lyle B. of Anchorage, Alaska.; sisters, Minnie B. Fink, Lovell and Rowean Holmes, Medford, Ore.; brother, Victor Bush, Powell; three sisters-in-law, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A combined service honoring Kaytie and Jay will be July 6, at 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lovell.
