Edward was notably decorated the Silver Star Medal for gallantry taken place June 10th of 1944 while in New Guinea & the Purple Heart Medal being wounded during the Battle of Mindoro (March 10th of 1945). Other decorations/awards include the Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal w/ 1 arrowhead device 3 campaign bronze stars, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal & the Philippines Liberation Medal with one campaign bronze star.
