Funeral services for Lester L. Wilson, 75, many years a resident of Traer, were held February 26 at the Hogan Bremer Memorial Chapel, Marion City, with Rev. Daniel Douglas of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Wilson, a retired building contractor, died February 21 in Lakewood, Colorado, while visiting his sister, Mrs. David (Lucille) Fike.
Lester is a brother of Leonard L. Wilson, Traer and started out as a mason and brick layer in Traer with his father, Claude Wilson. He received his education in the Traer school. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Flossie Caldwell, and his parents, Claude and Dora Wilson, many years residents of Traer. Lester is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Gwendolyn) Peterson (born in Traer) and Mrs. Donald (Patty Kay) Elsbury, both of Mason City; Mrs. Robert (Claudine) Sclavi, Superior, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Stan (Betty Lee) Conger, Miami, Florida; four sons, Leland, Modesto, California, Billy, Santa Clara, Calififornia, Bobby, San Angelo, Texas, and Gaylen, Clear Lake; 34 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. David (Lucille) Fike, Lakewood, Colorado; and brother, Leonard L., Traer.
