When Maggie May Sherrill was born on December 1, 1897, in Whitt, Parker, Texas, her father, James Thomas Sherrill, was 52, and her mother, Mary Alice Taylor, was 22. On about Dec 4, 1913 at 16, she married Henry Jackson "Red" Tatom. They had two sons: Thomas Mearl and Dearl Jackson who was killed at the age of 37. They divorced. Then, according to her son about 1920 at the age of 23, she married Gordon Watt Tannahill. Her two boys were living with them in the 1930 and she was 32. At the age of 41, she married Jessie Mercer "Jack" Jeter on March 31 1936. She died on August 23, 1977, in Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto, Texas, at the age of 79. She was buried in in Whitt, Parker, Texas in the Witt Cemetery.
***Her mother Mary Alice Taylor Sherrill 's dad was George Washington Taylor who was the brother of my great grandmother, Miriam Francis "Fannie" Taylor Walters.
She was my 2nd cousin 1X removed by Cheryl Walters Parr.
