DEATH OF MRS. CARPENTER
Mrs. Curtis Carpenter (Ruth Hubbard Stowell) died at the home of her son, Frank K. Carpenter, in Somerville, Mass., October 31st.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Moretown, November 10, 1827, and married Curtis Carpenter August 17, 1852. Four children were born of this union, only one of whom survives, Frank Kingsbury Carpenter, of Somerville, Mass.
She will be well remembered by the older residents of the city and was a sister of the late William A. Stowell, at whose home she spent several years of her life.
