OBITUARY: William Henry McClurg

William Henry McClurg was born in Tennessee, March 8, 1827 and departed this life at the home of his son, William Sherman McClurg March 28, 1925, at the age of 98 years 20 days. He was married to Mary Jane Moyer at the age of 25, and to this union were born nine children. Five of them, with his loved companion, preceded him in death. Those living are Alma McCullough, of Napanee, Nebraska; Harriet McCullough of Hobert, Oklahoma; Charles of Logan, Kansas and William Sherman of Coatsville, Missouri. Uncle Billy, as most people knew him, was an early settler of Davis County. He endured many hardships in helping develop his country. He leaves his four children above named, thirty grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Coatsville Baptist Church, Monday at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. L. E. Burgher of Moulton. Internment was in Gregory Cemetery.
