Lillie Mae Amerson, 92, of Port Wentworth, died Nov. 21 at Westview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Emanuel County, having lived in Chatham County the past 30 years and was a member of the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and the widow of Bluford Amerson. SURVIVORS: three daughters, Elizabeth Ownbey of Port Wentworth, Lillian Kader and Louzine Cherry, both of Beaufort, S.C.; two sons, Willie Amerson of Lady Lake, Fla. and Don Amerson of Beaufort, S.C.; a sister, Mary Jane Wilkes of Pembroke; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. PRAYER SERVICE: will be held at 7 p.m. today with visitation after the service until 9 p.m. at Fountain Funeral Home. GRAVESIDE SERVICE: 2 p.m. Friday in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Stilson. Fountain Funeral Home, Port Wentworth.
