Allen services Wednesday

Casper - Services for Charles W. (sic) Allen, 74, Thermopolis, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bustard Funeral Home.

Dr. Thomas J. Norman of the First Christian Church will officiate.

Allen died Sunday at Thermopolis after a short illness.

He was born July 25, 1902, at Orongo, Mo.

When he was 10-years-old, the family moved to Wheatland by covered wagon. In 1919 he moved to Casper where he worked for Mt. States Power. Shortly before World War II he worked for Standard Refinery in Casper. During the war he served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Navy. Following his discharge he returned to Casper and worked for Standard until his retirement in 1958. Following retirement, he lived in Casper and Thermopolis.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Winkes, Mills, and Mrs. Edna Bierbach, Las Vegas; one brother, Jess Allen of Los Angeles.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
