Wm. M. Wolfe, Pioneer, Passes

Dies at His Home North of Town Tuesday Morning

Wm. M. Wolfe, a pioneer resident of Clay county (sic), died at his home north of Fairfield at 9:00 Tuesday morning after a long illness. Mr. Wolfe came with the Wolfe family from Czechoslovakia to Detroit and thence to Clay county over 60 years ago. The obituary follows:

William M. Wolfe was born in Torzic, Czechoslovakia Oct. 13, 1867 and died Dec. 18, 1914 at the age of 67 years, 9 months and 5 days. He came to Nebraska in the year of 1875 with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Wolfe. He was married to Miss Antonia Sedlacek Jan. 28, 1896. To this union were born 6 children: Willie who died at the age of 2 months; Ben S of Fairfield; Steve F. of Springranch (sic); Vite W. of Clay Center, and two daughters, Anna Lipovsky of Fairfield and Albina, at home.

Besides the children, he leave to mourn his loss: his wife Antonia, 10 grandchildren, 6 brothers, Albert of Clay Center, Frank of Clay Center, George of Ong, Henry of Clay Center, Benj. of Clay Center, Adolph of Brainard; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Zdychynec of Fairfield and Mrs. Nellie Kavalec of Omaha.

A sister, Mary, preceded him in death.
