Reginald F. Dickey Sr.
RINCON - Reginald F. Dickey Sr., 71, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Bulloch County and lived in Effingham County most of his life. He was a member of Rincon Church of Christ. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a charter member of the American Legion Post 209. He was a retired plant superintendent with GAF Corp. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clyde Kessler Dickey of Rincon; a daughter, Candy Dickey Stone of Rincon; three sons, Roger EM Ritchie A. and Reginald F Dickey Jr., all of Rincon; three sisters, Eunice D. Tuten of Guyton, Grace D. Roberts of Luling, La., and Elsie D. Engelage of Jonesboro; two brothers, Cecil J. Dickey of Talahi Island and C. Truman Dickey of Rincon; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Thomas C. Strickland Funeral Home, Rincon Chapel, burial in Rincon Cemetery.
