Peter J. Cook, 58, was found dead in his bed Friday at his home in Blandford, Ga. Mr. Cook died from heart failure. The body was brought to North and carried to the home of his sister, Mrs. Kitty Hayden, near North. Services were conducted Sunday at Pen Branch church. Mr. Cook was the son of Jake Cook and Mary Ann Minnegan Cook. He was born in Orangeburg County where he lived all his life until recently moved to Georgia. He is survived by the following children: John, Elkins, George, Oscar Hooker of Georgia, Sam, Mrs. Rast of Florida, and several sisters and brothers. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church. His daughter, Mrs. Hooker, was not able to accompany the body of her father.
