Adam Hemphill, aged 86, died Saturday morning at his home, one miles south of Petrolia, from infirmities due to advanced age. He is survived by a son, Deemer of Butler; two daughters, Mary at home and Mrs. Emma Shakeley of Petrolia; a grandson; a brother, Elisha Hemphill of Middle Lancaster, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Warner of Middle Lancaster.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the family home and burial will be made in Bear Creek cemetery.
