Raymond was born on March 9, 1935, on a farm east of Farwell.
Ray is survived by his wife Pat of Grand Island; a son, Mel Brahatcek of Grand Island; two granddaughters, Misty and Krystle; a sister, Dorothy Bonczynski of Farwell, and special friends Doris and Daryl Bartlett and family and Sherri Sheeks and family, all of Grand Island.
Mr. Brahatcek grew up in the Farwell area and served in the United States Army.
He was united in marriage to Pat Greenwalt on April 23, 1960, in Grand Island.
The couple made their home in Grand Island.
Ray worked as a steel fabricator for Wilson Concrete for over 35 years.
Ray was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Platt-Duetsche.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Valeria and three brothers, Dale, Clarence and Duane.
